General Commitment and Policy: Safety is the PRIMARY criterion for successful construction and working environment. GMS believes that there is no situation where safety is to be compromised and that work quality and production does not need to sacrifice at safety’s expense under any circumstance. WE ARE A ZERO INCIDENT WORK PLACE!

 

AWARDS:

 

VPP (OSHA Voluntary Protection Program): GMS presently has and has had since 2005 OSHA’s “STAR” facility VPP status. We are the first construction company to obtain and maintain this status nationwide. To retain this status, GMS is audited annually by OSHA and adheres to the “STAR” status requirements (see link to Governor’s letter of Recognition);

 

Governor’s Safety Award (State of Wyoming): GMS has received the Governor’s award for State of Wyoming “Safest Contractor” award for the years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. This is an annual award that evaluates safety programs and results and is presented on such statistics. Our EMR (experience modification rate) has always been touted as “one of the best in the State”. Although this award was presented in Wyoming, our safety programs and results are consistent throughout all states operated in (see link to safety awards);

 

Participating member of PEC PREMIER and IS NETWORLD safety programs: GMS is participating member of the above safety programs with access and statistics available to participating members upon request for release from GMS’s main office.
